Students and faculty member from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia visited Nagoya Institute of Technology

Category:News|Publishing : December 17, 2012

On 27th and 28th November, 7 students and supervising faculty member of Department of Architecture of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) visited Nagoya Institute of Technology (NITech) by taking advantage of “Global Outreach Program”.

UTM is one of our Exchange Partner Universities. Since after the academic exchange agreement between UTM and  NITech was concluded in June 2006, the two universities have actively exchanged the faculty members, researchers and the students through having international seminars, joint research, and so on. Following their visit last June, this was the second time for us in this year to welcome visiting group from UTM.

During their stay, the students and the faculty members from UTM attended workshops, lab tours, and Nagoya tour with graduate students from Associate Prof. Keisuke KITAGAWA Lab (Department of Scientific and Engineering Simulation). In addition, an exchange party was held in the evening on 28th. Not only the graduate students from Associate Prof. KITAGAWA Lab but also other students from the labs which they visited and the relevant faculty members joined the party to deepen exchanges.

It is expected that the academic exchanges and collaboration research between the two universities will be further facilitated through this opportunity.
