About the Chubu Productivity Center
- The Chubu Productivity Center was founded in 1956 as a promotional organization to support productivity improvement among industries in the Chubu region (includes Aichi, Gifu, Mie, Toyama, and Ishikawa Prefectures) and local communities. The board consists of executive officers at companies in the Chubu region, executives at workers’ unions, and scholars.
- To establish sound labor-management relations within companies, the Chubu Productivity Center offers various programs such as trainings, seminars, benchmarking or forums, on topics that include mutual interchange, management innovation and human resource development. The Center also helps develop networks with departments involved with personnel affairs or human resource development in companies that are in charge of these programs.
- The Chubu Productivity Center also sets up executive or committee boards, consisting of people at companies and workers’ unions, for each program in order to foster a sense of unity among members. Moreover, the Center promotes projects in cooperation with economic organizations. These experiences help the Chubu Productivity Center effectively manage the Automotive Expert Engineer Training Program.
Patrons (as of July 2011): 327 companies (incl. universities), 213 workers’ unions
