I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the generous support provided by the Nagoya Institute of Technology Fund. My name is ZUO Biying, and I am truly honored to be a recipient of this scholarship. The financial assistance has played a crucial role in supporting my academic journey and enhancing my experience in Japan.
Thanks to this scholarship, I have been able to fully dedicate myself to my doctoral research in architecture. As a doctoral student at Nagoya Institute of Technology, I am conducting research in Professor Kitagawa’s lab, where we explore climate-responsive architectural design through statistical analyses of textual descriptions. With the guidance of my professor and the support of my lab members, I have had two research papers published or accepted in JAABE and the Journal of Green Building. I have gained deeper insights into architectural design and research methodologies. Beyond research, the warm atmosphere created by my professors and peers—through academic discussions and social gatherings—has made my time here especially meaningful. These experiences have expanded my perspectives and continually inspired me to pursue academic excellence.
