この度は、名古屋工業大学基金研究奨励金を給付して頂きますことを心より御礼申し上げます。奨励金は生活費の問題を完全に解決しました。そのおかげで、研究活動に全身全力集中出来ました。この機会をいただき、先生方に深く御礼申し上げます。また、研究室生活においてもご支援を頂きました先輩、同輩、後輩諸氏に心より感謝致します。今後とも技術者として社会に貢献できるように一生懸命頑張ります。

Zhou Yiming

My name is Zhou Yiming, an exchange student from Tongji University. It’s my great honor to receive this scholarship of double-degree program. Now I am major in Geotechnical engineering.

I am so grateful that Prof. Maeda and Prof. Zhang offered me this precious opportunity to study and research at Maeda Lab. My main research here is numerical simulation with DEM on unsaturated soil, and Prof. Maeda offers me much guidance which helps me a lot on my research. Japanese students in Maeda Lab so friendly as well that they never hesitate to help whenever I need help. Apart form research in the Lab, the classes that I take in Nitech also broaden my horizons not only in my research area but also many other fields. The professors of these classes are professional and patient and I also want to offer my sincere thanks.

I’ve stayed in Nitech for half a year, which is meaningful time for me. In the following six months, I will also do my best on research and classes. At last, I want to thank Prof. Maeda and Japanese student in lab again for their kind help and care.
