Characteristics of Learning
Academics
Fostering diverse human resources with rich cultural perspectives who can shape the society of the future
Nagoya Institute of Technology fosters the development of autonomous engineers and researchers who possess not only advanced technical expertise but also a broad cultural perspective. Encompassing nearly all disciplines within the field of engineering, the institute has produced numerous graduates who are held in high esteem and who play pivotal roles as executives, as well as core engineers and researchers across various sectors.

As one of the largest single-discipline university offering education in engineering, NITech covers almost all academic fields of engineering.
There are three educational programs available, and the program is open to anyone interested in studying engineering.
Advanced Engineering Education Program
With five departments covering almost every field of engineering, we aim to train core engineers and researchers.
Creative Engineering Program (Six-year integrated)
The Creative Engineering Program is a six-year integrated program comprising undergraduate and master's programs that helps students acquire a good, broad-minded sense of engineering and practical skills.

Fundamental Engineering Program (evening course), Five-year program
Students acquire expertise and skills useful in the industrial world in the practical curriculum for those wishing to study in the evening. By taking lectures provided in the day course as well, students can achieve more advanced learning objectives beyond the curriculum of the Fundamental Engineering Program.

At the graduate school, NITech has integrated major subjects that were previously divided into academic fields into the Department of Engineering. Now, we promote interdisciplinary education and research that transcends the boundaries of fields.
For the doctoral course, we have also established, in addition to the Department of Engineering, joint degree programs with overseas universities and a joint graduate school with the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Nagoya City University.

Society has a wide demand for female engineers who can drive innovation by utilizing diverse perspectives.
The NITech Center for Diversity and Inclusion has launched a career support website, "Open the Door to Engineering," to help many female students learn about the breadth of the field of engineering and appeal of studying engineering.
In addition to providing an easy-to-understand introduction to the learning and research at NITech, the Center also hosts a series of events titled "Monozukuri Challenge," where students can have a hands-on experience in engineering.
