Structure of NITech International Strategy Planning
Global
In the Fourth Mid-term Goal, NITech set the goal of promoting world-level advanced research through such measures as “Funding Program for Researcher Overseas Visits” and NITech Frontier Research Institutes “Invitation Project of International Researcher.”
On the other hand, the Japanese government compiled the second recommendation, " Japan-Mobility and Internationalisation: Re-engaging and Accelerating Initiative for future generations (J-MIRAI)," at the Council for the Creation of Future Education on April 27, 2023.
The recommendation aims to internationalise universities by 2033, including achieving the overseas dispatch of having 500,000 Japanese students, the acceptance of 400,000 international students, and increasing the number of joint degree programs.
In response to this recommendation, and in order to improve the positioning of NITech's international functions, we established the International Planning Committee in April 2024 to strengthen our planning and analyzing functions related to internationalization and international exchange, as well as to strengthen ties with organizations within NITech.
