The second assembly of the Malaysia Alumni Association was held on March 1, 2013. On that day, NITech Liaison Office in Malaysia was established at the campus of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM). NITech and UiTM have expanded its student exchange and research collaboration since 2005.

The assembly participants were approximately 20 graduates and NITech faculty/staff members including Prof. Takahashi (NITech President), Prof. Iwamoto (director of NITech International Center) and Prof. Soga (director of NITech Liaison Office in Malaysia). In addition, Mr. Sato and Mr. Kasai from the Japanese Embassy in Malaysia and Ms. Okubo from the JICA Malaysia Office were invited as guests.

Each of the graduates had a speech about their research at NITech and other matters with fluent Japanese. They were attracted by Prof. Iwamoto’s talk about recent NITech, such as the new university hall and various cutting-edge researches by NITech researchers.
