On July 2nd (Wednesday), 2025, 15 students from 10 countries participated in the bus tour that included a visit to the FPCO Chubu Recycling Plant located in Ampachi District, Gifu, as well as a sightseeing excursion in Gifu City.
At the FPCO Chubu Recycling Plant, after receiving an overview of the company and its food tray products, participants learned about the company's circular recycling system, which has been established and implemented for over 30 years. After the briefing, they attended the factory tour. During the tour, they observed the process in which collected food trays are sorted and washed, then processed into pellets to be reused as raw materials for new trays. Participants showed great interest in seeing how everyday containers, such as trays, are recycled after being placed in recycling collection boxes. After the tour, a question-and-answer session was held, and many students asked various questions, from everyday recycling practices to the cost differences between recycling and non-recycling. The session led to lively discussions and provided a highly educational opportunity.
In the afternoon, the group traveled to Gifu City. There, participants enjoyed sightseeing at Gifu Castle and strolling through the historic Kawaramachi district, further deepening their interaction with one another.

Through this bus tour, students were able to broaden their perspectives and deepen their understanding of sustainability-which are becoming increasingly important in today's world. The trip also offered a valuable opportunity for participants to strengthen their bonds and engage in meaningful cultural exchange.
