NITech Staff Member Participates in Erasmus+ Programme at FAU, Germany

Global

Publishing : August 5, 2025

From April 7 to 11, 2025, one administrative staff member from Nagoya Institute of Technology (NITech) participated in the "Erasmus Staff Week" hosted by Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), one of our academic exchange partner universities in Germany, with support from FAU.

The program welcomed over 30 faculty and staff members from universities across Europe and beyond. Under the theme of "Inclusion and Diversity," which is also a key focus of the Erasmus+ program, participants engaged in presentations of initiatives from various universities, workshops, and facility tours. It was a valuable opportunity for participants to share practical examples and approaches to addressing challenges, and to learn from one another.

In addition, the program included cultural and historical tours of Erlangen and Nuremberg, where FAU's campuses are located. These experiences allowed participants to deepen their understanding of local culture and history, while also fostering meaningful interactions among attendees. Through meaningful interactions with participants from diverse backgrounds, the theme "Inclusion and Diversity" became a lived experience.

FAU has long been a key partner in academic exchange for NITech, not only through the Erasmus+ program but also through research collaborations between faculty members of both universities, the IRTG-JGGE program, and the Joint Degree (JD) program. This participation further strengthened the relationship between the two universities and is expected to contribute to the continued advancement of international collaboration in both education and research.
