On July 28th , 2020, Nagoya Institute of Technology has concluded Agreement for Academic Exchange and Cooperation, and Framework Agreement of Academic Cooperation with the University of Siena (Italy) after a series of mutual exchanges.
NITech has been implementing a joint research with the University of Siena called "Human-Robot Cooperation with Shared Haptic Perception" with Assoc. Prof. Yoshihiro Tanaka (Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, NITech) as a center of the research and has been actively promoting bilateral student exchange. Based on the background, the two universities have reached the conclusion of the agreements this time.
From now on, it is expected to develop and accelerate interdisciplinary research projects between both universities under the agreements. Also, by linking to respective research networks from home and abroad, planning and promotion of international joint research projects and contribution to fostering international human resources are looked forward to.
