We had an online meeting with Instituto de Química del Sur, UNS-CONICET on, Monday, February 28, 2022.

We conducted this research exchange as "Collaborative Research Activity Course" to invite one Post Graduate student from Instituto de Química del Sur, UNS-CONICET, supported by JST Sakura Science Exchange Program. Instituto de Química del Sur, UNS-CONICET is the largest national university in its country, founded in 1956 after absorbed Technological Institute of South which was founded in 1946. It is located in Southern part of Argentina and the main campus is located in Bahía Blanca. There are 16 faculties included with Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry and others.

Initially, we had planned to invite the student to Japan in February, 2021, however, the student could not come to Japan because of effected by infection of coronavirus which was spread worldwide, so we decided to have online meeting instead.

The online meeting included introducing each other's universities, presenting and discussing of the detailed research which participated students are involved in. Moreover, since the student from UNS-CONICET wish to come to Japan and have a meeting in Japan strongly, we discussed the agenda in order to plan for face-to-face meeting in next academic year of 2022.

This meeting was very meaningful and through this meeting, the foreign students found more interests in study abroad in Japan as well as global awareness of the students of both universities are improved. We are very thankful for Japan Science and Technology Agency and all the people who are associated with it to giving us such a valuable opportunity.
