制度概要
Program Overview
本制度は、日本国外の日本国大使館・領事館が実施する選考を通じて文部科学省（MEXT）が採用する国費留学生制度です。合格者は、事前に希望する指導教員の受入承諾を得たうえで本学に受入れられます。
This program is a Japanese Government (MEXT) scholarship in which candidates are nominated through screening conducted by Japanese embassies or consulates abroad. Successful applicants are admitted to our university after obtaining prior acceptance from a prospective supervisor.
本制度は、本学が直接選考を行う「大学推薦」とは異なり、応募および一次選考は在外公館が実施する点が特徴です。
This scheme differs from the "University-Recommended" scholarship, in which the university conducts the selection. In the Embassy Recommendation track, applications and primary screening are conducted by diplomatic missions abroad.
選考の流れ Application and Selection Process

在外公館への応募・一次選考（書類・試験・面接等）
Apply to a Japanese embassy/consulate and undergo primary screening (document review, exams, interviews, etc.). -
指導教員へのコンタクト・受入承諾の取得
Contact a prospective supervisor and obtain their acceptance. -
本学への受入内諾書の申請 毎年9月1日まで
Request a Letter of Provisional Acceptance from the university by September 1 each year.. -
文部科学省による最終選考・採用決定
Undergo final screening by MEXT and receive the official scholarship decision.
大使館推薦制度を利用し、国費外国人留学生に応募するには、自国にある日本国大使館（または総領事館）を通して申請書を提出後に、書類審査、筆記試験および面接等により選考されます。選考スケジュールおよび申請方法については、自国の日本国大使館（または総領事館）へお問い合わせください。
When a student overseas applies for Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship by the Embassy Recommendation, applicants must submit an application through the Japanese Embassy (or consulate general) in their home country, and then be selected through document screening, a written examination, and an interview. Please contact the Japanese Embassy (or consulate-general) in your home country for information on the selection schedule and application method.

本学の教員すべてが、大学院での指導資格を持っているわけではありません。本学公式サイトの入試に関する以下のページで、大学院での指導資格を持っている教員の中から、当てはまる年度の一覧を見て、指導を希望する教員を選んでください。指導教員とメールでコンタクトをとり、指導教員の受入の承諾を得てください。

Not all faculty members at our university are qualified to supervise graduate students. Please refer to the following admissions page on our official website and check the list for the relevant academic year to identify faculty members who are eligible to provide graduate-level supervision, and select your desired supervisor from that list.
After selecting a prospective supervisor, please contact them directly by email and obtain their consent to supervise you.

Once you have obtained the acceptance, send an e-mail to the International Affairs Division, specifying the name of the desired academic advisor and the following required documents attached.

予備教育 Preparatory education
大使館推薦による国費外国人留学生の学部留学生は、本学に入学する前に1年間、日本語等予備教育機関で予備教育を受講後、翌年4月に本学へ入学することが多いです。十分な日本語力等を身に着けており、予備教育が不要な場合には、予備教育を受けずに、本学へ入学することがあります。
また、研究留学生は10月に研究生として入学し、半年間は日本語研修コースを受講します。
Under the Embassy-Recommended MEXT Scholarship, undergraduate students are often required to complete one year of preparatory education, such as Japanese language training, at a designated preparatory institution before enrolling in our university in April of the following year.
However, applicants who already possess sufficient Japanese language proficiency and other necessary academic skills may be permitted to enroll directly in our university without undergoing the preparatory education program.
MEXT Scholarship research students on the Embassy Recommendation will be enrolled as research students at NITech in October, and they will take a Japanese language course for six months after arriving in Japan.
