"Gain Enhancement of Square Bottom Lens for Lens Array Antennas"
In recent years, research on terahertz band has been actively conducted. Lens array antennas consisting of circular bottom lenses are expected to be used in this frequency band. The lens array antennas are low profile, but the usage efficiency of the space is low because there are some vacant spaces between the antenna elements. In this study, a square bottom lens is proposed and showed that the space usage efficiency of the single lens improved, and the antenna gain increased about 17%.
