"Into the Womb -I want to be born again-"
"Into the Womb -I want to be born again-" focuses on the social incompatibility caused by developmental disorders (neurodevelopmental disorders) in girls and women. This VR content was created to ask the social question, "If these women could be born again and start their lives over from the pre-birth/fetal stage, would their lives be happy without going astray? The team has created this work in order to discuss with participants how to deal with the difficulties of living for people with mental disabilities in the world and whether these people can really live happily in this society by being born again.

Award winner's comments
I have submitted this work to SIGGRAPH and SIGGRAPH Asia for 4 years since 2020, but it was not accepted by the Art Gallery 5 times. Nevertheless, I strongly wanted to exhibit this work at SIGGRAPH Asia in Tokyo. Therefore, I challenged to submit it to the XR Demo section before submitting my doctoral thesis, and it was successfully accepted by XR Demo on my sixth attempt.Though this work was considerably upgraded at the SIGGRAPH Asia exhibition, I would like to imagine the next version and strive to make this work available to the public again.
During the submission process, I had to work side by side with my doctoral thesis, which was 380 pages long, and I still think that I did hard work for submission, including video production.
I feel as if the goddess of SIGGRAPH smiled at me and rewarded me for all the hard work I have put in over the years. I could never have done this on my own. I am truly grateful to my teammates who worked with me at full power.
I would like to thank my teammates Dr. Ayaka Fujii, researcher at AIST, Dr. Kenichi Ito, researcher at Diver-X Inc., and Rito Tsuboi, sound creator, for their cooperation on this work. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Prof. Yoshinori Natsume, Nagoya Institute of Technology, who gave us permission and advice for this work during the last period of my doctoral course.
We would like to thank Prof. Lopez, the Lopez Laboratory, and the Department of Integrated Information Technology at Aoyama Gakuin University for their understanding and cooperation in this work.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to Yurie Suzuki for her actress performance, Nanoka Kusano and Shigeyo Tajima for their singing, Hiroki Ichikura, Sakura Shinji, Ryo Yamaoka, Naoki Ishida, Makoto Suwa for their work on this project, Mr. Koshio for loaning us equipment, Breakpoint Corporation for providing the development site, cLayz for graphic cooperation, Dr. Yun Suen Pai, a XR Demo Chair, Dr. Ping-Hsuan Han, XR Lab from Taiwan, and all others who supported us and experienced our work..
