名古屋工業大学では教科書の理論だけではなく、その理論を現実ではどのように動かせるかを学べます。名工大は学生数が少ないため、密度の高い授業、実習、研究ができる環境です。優れた研究環境と、熱心に指導してくださる先生方の存在は熱意のある学生にとっては一番の魅力ポイントです。また、情報工学科の学生としても、高性能の計算機が研究室に十分用意された研究環境は非常に魅力的だと思います。

留学で学べることは学業だけではありません。研究室や課外活動から数えきれないほどの大切な絆と出会いました。その絆があるからこそ、自分が好きなこと、やりたいこと、行きたい道について真剣に考えることができました。これこそが留学する前には想像すらできなかった大きなメリットでした。

名古屋工業大学は量よりは質に力を入れた環境です。皆さんもぜひ、この素晴らしい環境で自分の可能性を広げてみてください。

私は電気機械工学科・機械工学分野の学生です。名工大を選んだ主な理由はカリキュラムが良いと考えたからです。

1年生では共通科目を勉強し、2年生から2つの分野に分かれ、選んだ分野の専門科目を学びます。私は中学生の頃から自動車に興味があったので機械工学を選択しました。授業・課題・試験はすべて日本語で行われますが、先生の説明と理解できない時に先生と相談することで、私は多くの科目が修得できました。

名工大では多くのクラブやサークルがあります。私は国際交流サークルに参加し、毎週日本人学生と留学生が集まり、リラックスしたり、話したり、ボードゲームをしたりしています。また国際交流課は文化イベントも開催します。これらの活動により、友達を作り、日本の文化をより深く理解し、日本語を練習することができました。

アドバイスとして一生懸命勉強することに加えてクラブやサークルやイベントに参加してください。さらに、勉強や学生生活について困ったことがあれば大学の施設や相談窓口などを活用し、国際交流課のサポートを受けてください。

名工大を選んだ理由は、工学的視点と人文的視点の双方から建築を捉えられる教育・研究環境に魅力を感じたからです。特に、歴史的建造物の保存や修復を実測調査や史料分析を通して総合的に考える姿勢は、自身の関心と強く一致していました。現在は、歴史的建築を対象に、文化的価値と技術的条件の両面から課題を整理し、現実的な保存のあり方を探る研究に取り組んでいます。名工大では、専門性を深めるだけでなく、自ら考え、調べ、議論する姿勢が自然と身につくと感じています。後輩の皆さんには、与えられた課題だけで満足せず、自分なりの疑問を大切にし、積極的に先生方や仲間と対話することで、学びを広げてほしいと思います。

私は名古屋工業大学で修士課程に在籍していて、有機化学を専攻しています。学部のときと比べると、自分で考えることや判断することが増えて、最初はちょっと戸惑うこともありました。でも、先生や先輩に相談しながら、少しずつ自分に合ったペースをつかめるようになりました。周りの学生を見ていると、学部から興味をもとにこの分野を選んでいる人が多く、みんな熱心に取り組んでいます。それに、大学には留学生向けの奨学金や授業料減免制度もあって、実際に利用すると生活面の負担が軽くなり、研究に集中しやすくなります。

これから修士課程に進む方や留学を考えている方は、不安を感じることもあると思います。でも、最初から完璧にやろうとする必要はありません。少しずつ環境に慣れて、自分のペースで専門を学んでいけば、必ず自分なりに成長できると思います。

My name is Isa Guducu from Turkey, and I am a doctoral student in analytical chemistry at Nagoya Institute of Technology. I came to NITech because I wanted to work on environmental issues through science, especially plastic recycling and the sustainable use of resources. Here I can combine experiments, data analysis, and discussion with professors in a very focused research environment.

What I like most about NITech is the close and friendly atmosphere. My supervisor and lab members are always willing to listen to my ideas and to help when I face difficulties in experiments or data interpretation. The International Affairs Division is also very kind and patient, which makes procedures such as scholarships and events much easier for international students. Because the campus is not too large, it is easy to get to know people and feel part of a community.

Life in Nagoya is comfortable and safe. There are many convenient shops, quiet places to study, and good access to other cities. I am still learning Japanese step by step, but teachers, staff, and friends are very understanding, so I can gradually improve my language skills while continuing my research.

To future students who are thinking about coming to NITech: it is normal to feel worried about language, classes, or living in a new country. However, you are not alone here. Professors, tutors, and the International Affairs Division provide a lot of support, and classmates are usually very helpful. If you are curious, open-minded, and ready to challenge yourself, NITech is a great place to grow both academically and personally.

Studying at Nagoya Institute of Technology has been a truly valuable and life-changing experience for me. I chose the Nagoya Institute of Technology because I thought the Haptics Lab, where I wrote my master's thesis on human-AI collaboration in a robotic surgical system, was at the forefront of many different engineering fields, and that it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up, one that changes your life. Now that my time here is almost over, I can confirm this. I can also say that I have deep respect for Professor Tanaka Yoshihiro and all the classmates I've met, both professionally and personally, truly wonderful people. The university has supported me since I landed, and I've enjoyed my stay in complete comfort. I advise anyone who has the opportunity to take the courage to embark on this adventure, even though it's not easy and full of pitfalls and difficult moments, because it will change your life!

I selected Nagoya Institute of Technology (NITech) because of its prestigious academic reputation, research-oriented atmosphere, and focus on solving practical problems in an innovative manner. The Department of Social Engineering at NITech fascinates me because it integrates technology, management, and society, which aligns well with my academic interests.

At NITech, I have been able to not only study but also perform my research in a very motivational and well-structured academic environment. In particular, I am grateful to my professor and the members of my laboratory who have helped me throughout my stay in Japan. They were always approachable and helpful, and any doubts or questions―whether official or unofficial―were patiently clarified. This has been very effective in making my transition to academic or living in Japan very smooth.

For future students, I encourage you to deeply engage in your lab work, communicate freely and openly with the professors and your friends, and leverage the team spirit of NITech as much as you want. It is a place that enables you to develop both intellectually and personally in the truly international setting. Overall, my time at NITech and in Japan was a meaningful experience that I will always value.
