Mr. Kodai Suzuki, Department of Lice Science of Applied Cemistry of Graduate School of Engineering (Shigeru Okamoto Laboratory) receives the Carl Klason Student Award of the 24th Annual World Forum on Advanced Materials, Polychar 2016.
He developed a simulation method for a precise structural analysis and found that the two types of thermoreversible structures of block copolymer/homopolymer systems have distortion, the causes of which were discovered by careful research of SAXS on the basis of the paracrystal theory. These two structures are expected to apply to optical materials and metamaterials.
