On February 1, 2023, Mr. Takane Kosaka (Mayor of Ena City, Gifu Prefecture), Mr. Masato Takegami (Mayor of Matsusaka City, Mie Prefecture), and Mr. Hiroto Fujii (Mayor of Minokamo City, Gifu Prefecture) visited NITech. They had a discussion with President Takatoshi Kinoshita, Executive Director and Vice-President Makoto Obata (in charge of Education Planning and information), and Professor Motohiro Fujita (Department of Engineering: Architecture, Civil Engineering and Industrial Management Engineering).
All three mayors are graduates of NITech. (Mayor Kosaka graduated from the Department of Architecture in 1987, Mayor Takegami graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering in 1986, and Mayor Fujii graduated from the Department of System Management and Engineering in 2007.)
At the discussion, President Kinoshita first explained its current situation and priority initiatives, and each mayor described its current status and issues. Subsequently, a wide range of views were exchanged on regional cooperation between each city and NITech. We agreed to continue active discussions, in particular, on establishing a cooperative relationship between each city and NITech for regional human resource development and support for primary and secondary education.
