On April 18, 2024, NITech and Fujita Health University signed a basic agreement to strengthen collaboration and partnership between the two institutions.

This agreement aims to build a stronger partnership between a medical university and an engineering university. It is hoped that by combining their advanced technologies and expertise, the two universities will be better equipped to address various challenges in clinical healthcare, conduct pioneering research and development, and develop treatments that will shape the future of medicine.

The agreement is expected to further enhance the collaboration between the two institutions mainly through the sharing of research seeds and exchange of human resources, eventually leading to practical application of engineering university-born research seeds deemed promising for translational research. The two universities also intend to pursue more active collaboration in specialized education and community service while drawing on their respective strengths. Expected results reaching beyond academics include contribution to society and regional revitalization through highly talented graduates that they will produce and send into a wide range of fields in the future.

NITech President OBATA Makoto and Dr. YUZAWA Yukio, President of Fujita Health University, signed the basic agreement at the signing ceremony.
