Outline
Press the nail for 5 seconds and it will turn white, then when you remove the pressure the nail will gradually return to red. The time it takes for the color to return to its original state is the Capillary Refill Time (CRT), and is usually used as a simple method of evaluating circulatory function. In this study, professor SUGITA's Group aimed to non-invasively obtain blood indicators, particularly water percentage, by precisely measuring CRT. Therefore, they estimated the measurement accuracy required for moisture content evaluation and made various improvements to the measurement method to achieve this accuracy. Although moisture content evaluation has not been achieved, they have been able to improve the accuracy of the CRT.
