Emeritus Professor TOKUDA Keiichi of our university has been elected a Full Member of Sigma Xi, The Scientific Research Honor Society.

Sigma Xi is an international honorary research society founded in 1886 for researchers in the fields of science and engineering. Full Membership is awarded to individuals who have demonstrated outstanding research achievements as original researchers.

This selection recognizes his pioneering research achievements in the fields of statistical speech synthesis and speech signal processing.
He has previously received numerous awards, including the 2024 IEEE James L. Flanagan Speech and Audio Processing Award, the ISCA Medal for Scientific Achievement, and the Medal of Honor with Purple Ribbon.
