Theme

Whole microwave band lower than 10GHz has already been used for various applications. There is no space in frequency band for other wireless applications increasing day by day toward the future. Therefore, Millimeter-wave band and Teraherz-wave band are expected to be used for many wireless applications in our life.

We are in the development of high-gain beam-scanning antenna systems for automotive millimeter-wave radar systems in 80GHz band and high-speed wireless communication systems such as beyond 5G/6G in 300GHz band by using electromagnetic simulators and measurement systems up to 330GHz band in this laboratory.

Target of researches

EM simulators Ansys HFSS, CST, FEKO, ADS
Measurement Systems Vector Network Analyzers, Millimeter-wave Modules in WR-3 (220-330GHz), WR-10, 12 (56-110GHz)
High-precision Near Field Measurement Systems, Far Field Measurement Systems, Probe Stations(MPI, Form Factor)

Applications

Millimeter-wave communication systems

Automotive millimeter-wave radar systems
