Mr. Yuki Nakashima, Department of Frontier Materials ( Fuji Masayoshi Laboratory ) receives Young Investigator Award at APT2015 (The 6th Asian Particle Technology Symposium) held in Seoul, Korea.
In this study, hollow silica particles were synthesized. Synthesized CaCO3 particles grew up in solution due to reaction with water and carbonate ion. Therefore, the reaction was restricted by adding methanol and nano-sized CaCO3 particles were stabilized in solution. Hollow silica particles were synthesized by using the obtained suspension as a template.
