'NITech Hall', the new auditorium's name was chosen from among 87 ideas which were sought from the public (the students, academic and administration staff, and alumni).

A reason of chosen the name is that 'NITech' has been familiar with both the students and alumni. Also, NITech is the abbreviation of Nagoya Institute of Technology, so that not only Japanese but people from other countries can easily remember the name.

NITech Hall will be utilized for academic conferences, lectures, symposiums, etc.

There are three people who submitted 'NITech Hall' as a candidate name; 1) a master student, 2) an administration staff and 3) an alumnus. The winners will be given the book coupon of 30,000 yen.
