Prof. Akimasa Hirata was conferred as an IEEE Fellow for contributions to safety assessment and standardization of human exposure to electromagnetic fields.

 

What is IEEE

The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Incorporated, a New York not-for-profit corporation ("IEEE") is the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. There are more than 420,000 members in over 160 countries.

The IEEE Grade of Fellow is conferred by the Board of Directors upon a person with an extraordinary record of accomplishments in any of the IEEE fields of interest. The total number selected in any one year does not exceed one-tenth of one percent of the total voting Institute membership.
