The Fluid Science Research Award is presented to researchers who are recognized for their original research achievements in fluid science and for their significant contributions to the development of fluid science.
Professor MORINISHI Yohei was awarded the prize in recognition of his research into the development of a fully conservative finite difference scheme suitable for the unsteady numerical calculation of turbulent flows. Following his commemorative lecture at the Twenty-second International Conference on Flow Dynamics (ICFD2025) held in Sendai, a certificate and prizes (a plaque and a cash prize) were presented at the awards ceremony.
